About Ports Victoria

Ports Victoria, a government agency in Victoria, Australia, manages and regulates the state’s ports and shipping activities. The agency oversees port operations, ensures safety and efficiency, facilitates trade and logistics, and develops port infrastructure. Ports Victoria's core role is to provide safe, fair, and efficient access to Victoria’s commercial ports through marine navigation services, while maintaining environmental and safety standards related to maritime operations.

Formed in response to the Independent Review of the Victorian Ports System —the first comprehensive evaluation in over 20 years — Ports Victoria was established to lead the strategic management and operation of Victoria's commercial ports and waterways. Ports Victoria aims to implement key reforms and deliver on a long-term vision for the sustainable growth of Victorian ports.

Headquartered in Geelong, home to Geelong Port and the Spirit of Tasmania, Ports Victoria commenced operations on 1 July 2021. Under the leadership of board Chair Howard Ronaldson and CEO Craig Walker, Ports Victoria is dedicated to ensuring that the ports operate efficiently, sustainably, and maximise economic value for the state.

Tactic 2: Integration with Key Business Systems

Establishing seamless integrations with critical data sources and business applications, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, asset management platforms, or other work management tools. This integration ensures that all relevant data is accessible and synchronized across various departments, enhancing decision-making capabilities.

Tactic 3: Transition from Standalone Files to Integrated Solutions

Phasing out the use of isolated files such as Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations that are maintained by your staff. Replacing these with more robust, integrated solutions that promote real-time data sharing, reduce manual errors, and improve overall efficiency and collaboration within your team.

The Future: It Doesn’t End Here

The successful implementation and adoption of pmo365 for Ports Victoria has delivered top-down visibility, reliable PPM processes, and insights to drive smarter and timely project investment decisions.
